Alice Parkinson

Alice Parkinson

Alice May Parkinson (1889–1949) was a New Zealand manslayer. She was born in Hampden, Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand in 1889.[1] Her subsequent trial and conviction became a subject of contemporary controversy for New Zealand socialist and feminist campaigners due to the perceived severity of her sentence compared to male criminals.
